The Wembley Arena, Empire Way, will host The Masters, a snooker competition where the best players battle it out with their cues for the top prize money of £150,000. The trophy is engraved with the names of the best in the sport. The competition will take place from 9 to 16 January 2011. The war of the cues will be held at 1:30pm and 7:00pm from 9 to 14 January, at 1:00pm and 7:30 on 15 January, and 2:00pm and 8:00pm on 16 January. Entry tickets are priced at £10.
The London Academy Of Poledancing is offering free taster classes at The Waldorf Hilton Hotel London, Aldwych, City Of London. Poledancing does not require one to be slim, extremely flexible or energetic. It is increasingly being considered an exciting way of keeping fit. The classes will be held from 7:30pm to 8:30pm on 10 January, and from 8:15pm to 9:15pm on 12 January 2011. No admission fees are charged. The academy’s teachers will teach the people present basic Poledancing steps including spins, transitions and floor work. The teachers will also perform a routine that shows all the moves one will be taught in Level 1. All those interested must assemble at the venue wearing gym gear.
The ATCO PSA World Series Squash Finals is being held at The Queen’s Club, Palliser Road, South Kensington London. In an attempt to create a cheerful atmosphere, the matches will be preceded by an exhibition match between Alison Waters and Jenny Duncalfe, followed by a theatrical introduction of the court cleaners. The finals will be held from 11 to 15 January 2011.
